Joanna Li is an Assistant Professor at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, specializing in Strategy and Organization Theory. Her research bridges strategic management and organizational theory with a focus on the business-society interface, digital platforms, and inequalities.

Joanna’s research explores how institutions and organizations interact to shape inequalities, particularly in digital platforms, and investigates optimal distinctiveness in corporate strategy. She teaches SEM 441 (Strategy and Innovation), integrating management principles through case studies with a focus on innovation.
