Joan M. Esson is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Otterbein University. She joined the faculty in 2007 and oversees the NSF-funded Cardinal Science Scholars Program. A member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) since 1994, she serves as Councilor for the Columbus Section of ACS since 2017. Her work has been supported by grants totaling ~$1.5 million from organizations including the National Science Foundation and the Merck Institute for Education.
