Joachim Scheerlinck is a Research Fellow at the Department of Engineering Sciences, Ghent University (EA08 research group). His work focuses on computational chemistry and materials science, particularly the application of machine learning potentials to study metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for advanced adsorption properties.
In 2024, he published his dissertation titled Evaluating the adsorption properties of metal-organic frameworks for next-generation applications using state-of-the-art machine learning potentials, supervised by Prof. Dr. ir. Veronique Van Speybroeck and Prof. Dr. ir. Louis Vanduyfhuys. This research highlights his expertise in molecular simulations and predictive modeling for sustainable material design.
