معرفی
Prof. Dr. Joachim Lohkamp is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Münster, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. His expertise lies in Differential Geometry and Geometric Analysis, with a focus on scalar curvature, minimal surfaces, and hyperbolic geometry. He is an Investigator in Mathematics Münster and leads research on Topics in Mathematics Münster T6: Singularities and PDEs.
His teaching spans over two decades, including courses on Differential Geometry, Analysis, Topology, and Relativity Theory. Recent courses include Foundations of Topology, Geometry, and Analysis (SS 2025) and Mass and Energy in Relativity Theory (SS 2025). He frequently collaborates with Dr. Matthias Kemper and others in research and teaching.
Research interests prominently feature scalar curvature, geometric flows, and potential theory on manifolds. His recent publications explore hyperbolic geometry’s interplay with scalar curvature and singularities in geometric structures. He actively contributes to seminars and advanced topics in geometric analysis.
