Joachim Heintz

Joachim Heintz is a Professor of Composition at the Hanover University of Music and Performing Arts, specializing in electronic music and interdisciplinary collaborations. He teaches composition students individually and leads seminars and concerts, focusing on the intersection of electronic and instrumental music. He co-founded the DASTGAH Festival (2016) to promote Iranian contemporary music in Germany and established the TRAIECT series (since 2017) for dialogues between Western composers and traditional musicians from Asia, including Iran, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

His research centers on the philosophy of music as a way of understanding the world, blending intellectual rigor with emotional depth.
