Dr. Jishy Varghese is an Associate Professor at the School of Biology, IISER Thiruvananthapuram (Vithura, Kerala, India). His research focuses on understanding how physiological homeostasis is maintained in complex multicellular organisms despite environmental fluctuations, using Drosophila melanogaster as a model system. His lab investigates neural and endocrine signaling networks, cellular and systemic nutrient sensing mechanisms, and the genetic regulation of developmental maturation, metabolism, and aging.
