Jinzhao Sun is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and holds a Schmidt AI in Science Fellowship at the University of Oxford. He is affiliated with the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at QMUL. His research focuses on quantum computing, quantum information, and quantum many-body physics, with particular emphasis on quantum algorithms, quantum simulation, quantum error mitigation, and applications in computational chemistry and materials science.
Education and Career: Sun completed his PhD at the University of Oxford under Vlatko Vedral and Andrew Boothroyd, following undergraduate studies at Peking University. He conducted postdoctoral research at Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, and University College London (UCL).
