معرفی
Dr. Jingchun Shen serves as Senior Lecturer in Construction Technology at Dalarna University's School of Information and Engineering, Sweden. With 18 years of global experience, she bridges academic research and industry practice, specializing in digital transformation for energy transition, climate-resilient building systems, and ESG-driven solutions. Her work integrates EU Taxonomy frameworks with practical applications for organizations including AstraZeneca, Business Finland, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Education
- Ph.D. in Solar Thermal Facade Systems and Applications, University of Nottingham, UK (2017)
Her research centers on sustainable building technology with emphases on solar energy integration, life cycle assessment of construction materials, and Positive Energy District development. She pioneers digital tools like Building Information Modeling (BIM) for climate adaptation and energy optimization, focusing on adaptive facade systems, daylighting solutions, and EU-compliant sustainability metrics. Current projects address structural material reuse, public infrastructure resilience, and circular economy implementation in the built environment.
Recent 2025 publications demonstrate consistent focus on climate-responsive building design, with recurring themes in life cycle assessment of reclaimed materials, future climate scenario modeling, and reliability engineering for public infrastructure. Key trends include integration of phase change materials in building envelopes, timber-concrete hybrid systems, and digital twins for lighting management in extreme conditions.
Advising and Grants
