Jing Cheng

Jing Cheng is a Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), with dual appointments in the Division of Oral Epidemiology & Dental Public Health and Division of Biostatistics. She serves as Director of the Statistics and Informatics Core at the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education, and is affiliated with multiple prestigious institutions including the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI). A renowned biostatistician, she served as 2020 Chair of the American Statistical Association Section on Statistics in Epidemiology and actively contributes to editorial and peer-review processes for over 30 journals and NIH panels.

Recent publications demonstrate methodological rigor in analyzing count data and zero-inflated outcomes, with applications to public health disparities, oral health research, and clinical trial design.
