Jinesh C. Manayil is a Researcher at Aston University's Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. His primary focus is developing catalytic processes for biomass valorisation and sustainable chemical production. He has held roles including Research Associate (2013–present) and Guest Lecturer in Chemistry at Sree Krishna College, India.
Education includes a PhD in Chemistry from Bhavnagar University (2012), MSc in Polymer Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University (2004), and a PGCert in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (Aston University, 2016). His expertise spans catalyst design, bio-oil upgrading, and kinetic modeling of biomass decomposition.
Key research projects include 'Tuning Catalyst Surfaces for Biomass Conversion' (EPSRC-NSF funded) and 'ABC-SALT' (EU Horizon 2020), focusing on molten salt catalytic conversion. He collaborates internationally on biofuel production and waste valorisation.
Teaching involves co-supervising PhD/MSc students and lecturing on catalysis. Professional memberships include Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His work bridges chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental sustainability.
