Jimmie Lenz is the Executive Director of the FinTech Engineering Masters Program and Executive In Residence at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering. He holds a secondary appointment as the Irene and Frank Salerno Visiting Professor of Financial Economics and leads the Digital Asset Research and Engineering Collaborative (DAREC). He earned his D.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016.
His research focuses on Financial Technology, Blockchain, Machine Learning, and Digital Assets. He teaches courses including Machine Learning, Blockchain, and Financial Technology business models.
Lenz co-hosts the 'Coffee and Crypto' podcast and has pioneered the use of NFTs for academic credentials. His work explores cryptocurrency volatility, NFT applications in healthcare, and FinTech's role in higher education.
