Jillian Austin

Dr. Jillian Austin serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati and practices at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center within the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology in Integrated Behavioral Health. She is a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in evidence-based pediatric interventions.

Educational background:

• Master's in Behavior Analysis, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
• Doctoral degree in Healthy Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
• Pre-doctoral training in clinical child/pediatric psychology, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
• Two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology, Nemours Children's Specialty Care

Her research centers on community mental health access, adherence to health/safety guidelines, and developing family-centered interventions to improve youth quality of life. Clinically, she addresses sleep disorders, pediatric feeding issues, chronic illness adjustment, medical adherence challenges, pain management, and behavioral/emotional disorders including anxiety and depression.

Within Cincinnati Children's Integrated Behavioral Health program, Dr. Austin develops practical toolboxes for families navigating developmental transitions and health challenges through behavioral medicine approaches.
