Jill Stangl serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Student Wellbeing at Texas Tech University, overseeing the Student Counseling Center, Student Disability Services, Student Legal Services, and Risk Intervention & Safety Education (RISE). She began her career at Texas Tech in 2000 and concurrently serves as an Adjunct Instructor in University Studies.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, University of North Texas (1994)
- Doctor of Jurisprudence, Texas Tech University School of Law (2000)
Stangl's professional expertise integrates Student Affairs with legal frameworks in higher education. Her work emphasizes student wellbeing through mental health services, disability accommodations, and campus safety initiatives, informed by her background as a licensed attorney specializing in employment law and institutional compliance.
