Jill Rupinski

Jill Rupinski is Chair of Fine Arts, Painting and Drawing at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). She teaches Drawing and Painting in the BFA program and serves as an instructor in PAFA's Continuing Education program. Her practice spans oil painting, chalk, and soft pastel, with representation by Cerulean Arts Gallery in Philadelphia.

Research Interests: Jill creates narrative works rooted in the human portrait and natural landscapes, often surreal in style. Her landscape art explores perception and hidden forms, while her portraiture evolves through dialogue with subjects to construct visual stories.

Artistic Impact: Her works reside in public and private collections including Arcadia, Colgate, and Villanova Universities, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Hospital, and the University of Pennsylvania. Selected for the Senior Artist Initiative Oral History Project (2014), she bridges academic rigor with studio practice.
