Professor Jill Maree Newby holds a dual role as a Professor at UNSW School of Psychology and Co-Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Depression Treatment Precision. Her work focuses on technology-based mental health interventions, including online treatments for anxiety and depression, AI applications in mental health, and transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral therapy. She leads research initiatives at the Black Dog Institute and collaborates with institutions like the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD). Her research spans health anxiety, perinatal mental health, and digital phenotyping, with a strong emphasis on scalable and accessible solutions.
