Jie Zhang

Dr. Jie Zhang is a Lecturer in Computer Science (Software Engineering) at King's College London, Department of Informatics. Her research bridges software engineering and artificial intelligence, focusing on enhancing trustworthiness in both fields. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science from Peking University (2018) and was a Research Fellow at University College London (2019–2022). She leads the King's Trusted Autonomous Systems Hub and contributes to the Sustainability, Finance, Health, and Security research hubs. Her work addresses fairness in AI systems, code generation efficiency, and vulnerability detection.

Recent Trends in Articles: Focus on fairness in autonomous systems, efficiency of generated code (EFFIBENCH), and empirical analysis of ChatGPT's non-determinism in code generation. Her work addresses intersectional fairness, stealthy backdoor attacks in code models, and benchmarking AI-generated outputs.
