Jianwu Sun

Jianwu Sun serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Semiconductor Materials division within the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM) at Linköping University. Holding a permanent Universitetslektor position since receiving his Docent title in 2016, he leads the Sun Research Group with over a decade of combined academic and industrial experience from prior work at IMEC, Belgium.

His research focuses on semiconductor materials for renewable energy conversion, particularly cubic silicon carbide (3C-SiC) systems for photoelectrochemical water splitting to produce hydrogen and CO₂ reduction for chemical fuel synthesis.
