معرفی
Jiamian Hu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He specializes in computational modeling of material microstructure evolution and properties using phase-field techniques, focusing on multifunctional materials with coupling effects such as magnetostrictive, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, magnetoelectric, and caloric materials, as well as ion transport in solid electrolytes.
- PhD, Tsinghua University (2013)
- BS, Sichuan University (2008)
His research develops continuum theories and phase-field models to understand how microstructures influence coupling effects and transport properties, while also applying these models for computational materials design. Recent work explores terahertz dynamics in ferroelectrics and hybrid magnon-phonon systems.
