معرفی
Jia Zhongjun is a Research Fellow and Doctoral Supervisor at the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned his PhD from the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science in 2002 and has held research positions at institutions including the USDA, Colorado School of Mines, North Carolina State University, and Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology. His work focuses on microbial ecology in rice field ecosystems, particularly the interactions between methane- and ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms.
- Education: PhD (2002) from Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, CAS; BS (1997) from Shanxi University.
Research directions center on the molecular ecology of methane and ammonia oxidation, with emphasis on refractory microorganisms that dominate carbon and nitrogen cycling in terrestrial ecosystems. His studies explore how farmland management influences microbial dynamics and their ecological roles.
His representative publications span 2003-2009, addressing methane/ammonia interactions in rice paddies, T4-type bacteriophages, and microbial responses to agricultural practices. He currently welcomes graduate students to his program.
