Dr. Ji Hong is a Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Arizona. She specializes in qualitative and mixed-methods research focusing on teacher identity development, particularly addressing the cognitive, emotional, and motivational competencies of pre-service and in-service teachers across diverse contexts. Her work emphasizes collaborative partnerships with educators to enhance professional capacities throughout their careers.
Dr. Hong holds a B.A. from Seoul National University, an M.A. from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. She currently serves on the editorial boards of Contemporary Educational Psychology and Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice, and directs the Quality Teacher Educational Advancement and Collaborative Hub (QTEACH).
