Dr. Jesús Molina Mula is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in the School of Nursing and Physiotherapy. He has been with UIB since 2013 and holds a PhD in Biosociosanitary Sciences from the same institution. His academic profile includes multiple appointments across Spanish universities including Universidad de Huelva, Universidad de Cádiz, and the International University of Valencia (VIU).
Dr. Molina Mula's research interests span bioethics, drug addiction, nursing care, research methodology, public health, interprofessional relations, and emergency care. His work particularly focuses on ethical considerations in nursing care for drug-addicted patients and interprofessional collaboration in healthcare settings. He directs the Balearic Nursing Research Group on Drug Addiction (GIBED) and has led research projects funded by ISCIII on elderly care, communication with critical care patients, drug addiction, and evidence-based clinical practice.
His publication record includes over 30 articles in JCR-indexed journals and more than 15 in Scopus-indexed journals, with recent work focusing on ethical frameworks in nursing practice, systematic reviews of addiction treatments, and methodological approaches to qualitative research. His publications demonstrate a strong emphasis on translating research into practical healthcare applications.

Dr. Molina Mula actively supervises graduate students, currently directing six doctoral theses in UIB's PhD programs in Translational Research in Public Health and Global Health. He has directed over 30 master's final projects across multiple institutions. His teaching responsibilities include research methodology courses, sources of information in health sciences, and final degree projects across multiple campuses (Majorca, Ibiza, Minorca). He also serves as academic coordinator for UIB's University Expert programs in Geriatric Care and Health Services Management. His international collaborations include projects with the National University of La Plata in Argentina and a research position with the Government of Ecuador in 2015.
