- Academic Leadership: Director of Law Degree program at Polytechnic University of Algeciras
His research focuses on environmental degradation in disputed territories, particularly analyzing Strait of Gibraltar challenges through international law. He examines climate change litigation, maritime boundary disputes, and cross-border environmental cooperation in post-colonial contexts. Recent works investigate ecocide as a legal concept and Brexit's impacts on Mediterranean environmental frameworks.
While his academic articles explore novel legal figures like ecocide and soft law instruments for environmental protection, he emphasizes the practical limitations of international criminal courts in climate matters. His teaching integrates Anglo-Saxon legal systems and legal English, aiming to prepare students for cross-border practice in Gibraltar-related issues.
