Jesus Manuel Frances Ortega

Jesús Francés Ortega is a Professor in the Department of Chemical, Agricultural and Agro-Food Engineering (EQATA) at the Polytechnic School of the University of Girona (UdG). He is affiliated with the Institute of Agro-Food Technology (INTEA-UdG) and the Center for Innovation and Development in Plant Health (CIDSAV) under the TECNIO Action program.

• Research focuses on biopesticides and bioprotectors for agricultural and food industry applications
• Teaches in undergraduate agri-food programs and the Master's in Food Biotechnology (BIOTECAL)
• Active in industry-linked research projects and technology transfer contracts

He leads the Plant Pathology Research Group (PV) and directs the Chair of Wine and Oil of the Empordà, a position reflecting his industry impact.
