Jessie Reeder is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Binghamton University. Her research focuses on 19th-century British literature, imperialism, and narratives of power, catastrophe, and apocalypse. She is a founding member of the Anglophone Chile digital archive project, collaborating with the Biblioteca Nacional de Chile.

Research Interests: Romantic/Victorian literature, transnational imperialism, narrative form, Latin American cultural studies, and apocalyptic themes. Her work examines how literary forms challenge imperial narratives and explore geopolitical power dynamics between Britain and post-independence Latin America.
Recent Article Trends: Recent work emphasizes transnational exchanges, multilingual literatures, and the role of journalism in shaping imperial perceptions. Projects like the Anglophone Chile archive highlight her commitment to digitizing understudied cultural materials.
