Jessie DeGrado is an Assistant Professor in Ancient Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan. Specializing in the intersection of history, religion, and imperial dynamics in the ancient world, DeGrado combines postcolonial theory with Assyriology and Hebrew Bible analysis to create innovative interpretations of Near Eastern antiquity.
