Jessica Östberg is an Associate Professor at the Department of Law, Stockholm University, and a course director for Law of Business Associations. She also provides corporate law instruction at private institutions and law firms. Her academic work focuses on directorial duties, shareholder responsibilities, and corporate sustainability under Swedish law.

Her research analyzes the duty of loyalty for directors and shareholders in Swedish corporations, including comparative studies with Norwegian, Danish, American, English, and German legal frameworks. She is currently co-authoring articles on majority/minority power abuse with Senior Lecturer Hanna Almlöf.
