Jessica Podda is a contractual professor in the Department of Experimental Medicine at the University of Genoa, affiliated with the School of Medicine. Her academic career focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of neurology, rehabilitation, and biomedical engineering.
Her research explores the challenges faced by individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS), particularly in balance, walking, and workplace adaptation. Recent work includes comparative studies on traditional and robotic-assisted balance assessment methods, sensory system contributions to motor function, and driving skill evaluation via simulation.
Jessica's publications (2022–2024) highlight her expertise in MS-related motor impairments, leveraging robotics and posturography for innovative clinical assessments. She is actively involved in teaching General Psychology within the 'Scienze Motorie, Sport e Salute' (Motor Sciences, Sports, and Health) undergraduate program.
