Jessica Kruska is a Researcher at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Education, Department of School Pedagogy. Currently on parental leave until September 2025, her work focuses on educational transitions, parent-school dynamics, and qualitative research methods. She holds a Master’s degree from Philipps University Marburg and has conducted research in New Zealand and the USA.

Research Interests: Her dissertation examines parent-school fit during primary-to-secondary transitions in Hamburg, emphasizing school culture’s role in parental decision-making. Methodologically, she uses Bohnsack’s documentary method to reconstruct actor perspectives.
Teaching: Leads seminars on foundational school pedagogy and advanced educational themes. Serves on faculty committees for graduate studies and academic examinations.
