معرفی
Dr. Jessica Kennett Clark is an Associate Professor in Biological Sciences at Salisbury University, with a research focus on neuroendocrinology and molecular mechanisms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. She also serves as Associate Provost & Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.
- PhD, Biology (Neuroscience), Florida State University (2009)
- BS, Psychology, Virginia Commonwealth University (2004)
Her research employs larval zebrafish models to study neurodegenerative aspects of diabetes, including effects on the gut and central nervous system. She actively mentors undergraduate researchers and leads efforts to improve faculty hiring practices in biomedical sciences through an NSF grant.
- Salisbury University Outstanding Research Mentor Award (2019)
Dr. Clark’s lab has characterized two zebrafish models of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, aiming to uncover molecular pathways and potential therapeutic targets. Her work bridges neurobiology, endocrinology, and developmental biology with translational applications in metabolic disorders.
