Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Cumberlands with over 23 years of experience in social work. She holds three degrees supporting her passion for practice and is a certified social worker licensed by the Kentucky Board of Social Work. Her career includes 18 years in child welfare (8 in supervisory/leadership roles) followed by medical social work in hospice care and UK Health Care with HIV/HCV patients since 2019.

• Expertise spans public sector (The Cabinet for Health and Family Services) and private foster care agency experience
• Current focus on end-of-life care and infectious disease patient support
• Teaching adjunct at multiple universities with emphasis on mentoring future social workers
