Jessica Fitzsimmons is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University's College of Geosciences, Department of Oceanography. Her research focuses on trace metal biogeochemistry in marine environments, particularly their roles as nutrients, pollutants, and climate tracers. She leads the Fitzsimmons Lab, which uses advanced analytical tools like ICP-MS and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to study processes in polar oceans, hydrothermal vents, and estuaries like Galveston Bay.
