Jessica DeJohn Bergen

Jessica DeJohn Bergen serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History within McNeese State University's College of Liberal Arts, maintaining her office in Kaufman 209-J and contactable via jbergen@mcneese.edu.

Dr. Bergen's research examines Acadian identity formation, power dynamics during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras, and structural hierarchies in historical contexts. Her doctoral specialization encompassed Borderlands and U.S. History with supplementary expertise in French Imperial History through 1789. She is currently developing a manuscript under contract with LSU Press exploring these interconnected themes.
