Jessica Clague DeHart is an Associate Professor of Community and Global Health at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), specializing in molecular epidemiology and lifestyle interventions for cancer prevention. Her work bridges biological mechanisms with community-based approaches to improve cancer survivorship and aging outcomes.
- PhD in Molecular Cancer Epidemiology, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston
- MPH in Chronic Disease Epidemiology, Yale University
- BA in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, University of Southern California
Clague DeHart’s research focuses on understanding how modifiable lifestyle factors—such as exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress—affect cancer progression and healthy aging. She emphasizes the development of feasible, biologically effective interventions that integrate family and caregiver support while leveraging innovative technology. Her work within the California Teachers Study and collaborations with the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation explore telomeres, inflammation, and psychosocial dimensions of disease.
Her publications span epidemiology, oncology, and preventive medicine, addressing breast cancer etiology, genetic risk factors, and lifestyle interventions. Clague DeHart has received recognition through the Faculty of 1000 (F1000) for her research and was supported by an R25 NCI Cancer Prevention Doctoral Fellowship.
