Jessica Boyer

Jessica Boyer is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Eastern Washington University, overseeing the Public Relations program. She holds a BA in Communication Studies from EWU and an MA in Communications with a Public Relations emphasis from the University of the Pacific. Prior to academia, she served as Director of Communications at Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), managing publicity campaigns for TV series, documentaries, and corporate events. Earlier, she worked at Rogers & Cowan, creating PR strategies for clients like Food Network and Kirk Douglas.

Her expertise spans crisis communications, entertainment PR, and media relations, informed by over a decade in corporate and entertainment sectors. Her professional history bridges academia and industry, emphasizing practical PR applications.
