Jessica Bombasaro-Brady

Ms Jessica Bombasaro-Brady is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the BSc Policing & Applied Security Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, where she also serves as Head of Policing & Professional Contracts, Apprenticeships and CPD. Her academic role builds directly on 15+ years of operational policing experience within the Metropolitan Police Service.

Her educational background includes Master’s degrees from King’s College London (2014) and the London School of Economics (2012), with current doctoral research in War Studies at King's College London. Professional development spans police training roles and international fieldwork.

Research expertise centers on security sector reform in post-conflict states, particularly examining police perpetration of war crimes and its legacy on public trust. Additional focus areas include migration policing dynamics, race and masculinities in law enforcement, and victim-centered investigative practices – all informed by her operational experience in homicide and domestic abuse units.
