Jessica Benson is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Leadership at Mississippi State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where she also serves as TCALP Associate Director. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication from Texas A&M University, a Master of Agriculture in Agricultural Leadership from University of Georgia, and a BS in Agricultural Leadership and Development from Texas A&M University.
Her research explores innovative approaches in agricultural education, leadership development, and the application of emerging technologies in educational settings. Specific interests include AI integration in vocational training, educational methodology, and leadership pedagogy.
Analysis of Benson's recent publication reveals a focus on technological innovation in agricultural education, particularly examining how generative AI can transform FFA contest training methodologies and enhance vocational teaching practices.
Benson has been recognized for her contributions through teaching award nominations and an Outstanding Innovative Poster award from the American Association of Agricultural Educators. Her professional memberships include the Association of Leadership Educators and International Leadership Association.
As TCALP Associate Director, she oversees leadership program development and maintains research partnerships focused on educational innovation in agricultural contexts.
