Jessica Andrew is an Associate Lecturer and 2nd year PhD student at Lancaster University within the Department of Lancaster Medical School, Psychology. Funded by a 1+3 ESRC CASE studentship through NWSSDTP, she investigates sport-related subconcussive head impacts and serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Sports and Exercise Science since 2022.
Her research specializes in Concussion Research, Sports Psychology, and Neuropsychology, examining neurological consequences of repeated head impacts in athletic contexts. This work bridges Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with a focus on long-term cognitive outcomes.
Award highlights include the Speed Talk Competition Winner (2025) and Year 2 PhD Oral Presentation Winner. Her academic service spans conference participation at ECSS Annual Congress, International Symposium on Hearing 2025, and Brainbox Initiative Conferences, alongside teaching development through the Associate Teacher Programme.
