معرفی
Jess Marsh is an ARC Industry Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Adelaide, Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology, eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students as a Co-Supervisor.
Research focuses on integrating taxonomy and systematics with conservation biology to identify species, assess threats, and develop conservation strategies. Specializes in invertebrates—particularly spiders—with emphasis on short-range endemic species including obligate cave-dwellers whose entire ranges may be confined to single cave systems.
- Taxonomy and systematics of troglobiont spiders
- Conservation biology of short-range endemic taxa
- Ecology of subterranean invertebrate fauna
Current work employs molecular and morphological techniques to document invertebrate diversity in Nullarbor Plain caves across South Australia and Western Australia, developing management guidelines for this scientifically significant biodiversity.
