Jerónima María Torrens Espinosa

Jerónima María Torrens Espinosa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands. She has been teaching continuously at UIB since 2001, specializing in Social Psychology, Group Psychology, and Work and Organizational Psychology.

Her teaching portfolio includes:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology courses: Social Psychology, Group Psychology, and Work and Organizational Psychology
• Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations: Negotiation Techniques
• Master's Degree in Human Resources Management: Team Intervention, Conflict and Negotiation (across multiple editions from 2010-11 to 2016-17)
• Numerous specialized courses on conflict management, negotiation, coaching, and equal opportunities

Professor Torrens Espinosa's research focuses on social psychology with particular emphasis on gender issues and women's social position. Her work explores psychological aspects of social issues, conflict resolution in work teams, negotiation techniques, and gender equality initiatives.

She is actively involved in two consolidated research groups:

• Estudios de género (ESTUDEGE) - focusing on gender studies
• Investigación Psicosocial en Trabajo, Recursos Humanos y Educación (I+RhETOS) - examining psychosocial aspects of work and education

Professor Torrens Espinosa maintains an active teaching schedule for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, continuing her long-standing commitment to psychology education at UIB.
