Jerry Reiter is a Professor in the Department of Statistical Science at Duke University, where he has been since 2002. He holds the endowed Mrs. Alexander Hehmeyer Professorship and was appointed as a Bass Chair for excellence in undergraduate teaching and research. He earned a BS in Mathematics from Duke University (1992) and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University (1999), with interim work as an actuary.
His research integrates applied and methodological statistical science, emphasizing social science and public policy applications. Key methodological focuses include:
