Dr. Jerry Ball is a Professor of English Education at the College of Liberal Arts and Communication at Arkansas State University. His teaching focuses on medieval literature, linguistics, and biblical texts within the Department of English and Philosophy.
- Education: Ph.D. in English-Medieval (1986) from University of Tennessee-Knoxville; M.A. in English (1980) and B.A. in English (1971) from Arkansas State University.
Research interests include Medieval Arthurian Literature, Language History, Restoration/18th Century Literature, Early Christian Literature, and the decline of metrics in modern poetry. His current projects explore 18th Century English perspectives on Sappho, the Grail legends, and poetic meter.
