Jerod Weinman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Grinnell College, with affiliations in Neuroscience. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, specializing in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and AI. His research focuses on visual learning, historical map analysis, and AI education. He has led NSF-funded projects on AI curriculum expansion and geospatial map processing. Notable awards include Best Paper (ICDAR 2017), Best Presentation (ICVS 2023), and an NSF grant for AI education.
