Jeremy Pelt

Jeremy Pelt is Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA. He holds a B.A. in Art from the University of North Carolina-Asheville and an M.F.A. in Visual Art from the University of Chicago.

His creative practice spans ceramics, printmaking, painting, and art historical analysis with exhibitions including 'Nothing Ever Lasts Forever' (2022) and 'Jeremy Mitchell Pelt: Recent Works' (2018). His research explores the intersection of material practice and theoretical frameworks in contemporary art.

Professional experience includes art handling, conservation, and disaster recovery at The Chicago Conservation Center, where he managed artwork logistics and preservation.
