Jeremy King is a Professor of History at Mount Holyoke College, specializing in Central and Eastern Europe from the 19th to 20th centuries. He holds appointments in the Departments of Jewish Studies, International Relations, and History, and is on leave during spring 2025.

His research focuses on nationalization processes, ethnic conflict, and legal attempts to mediate racial/ethnic tensions in imperial Austria. He teaches courses on Habsburg Central Europe, fascism/communism, WWII, and European public policy.
Recent publications include his 2005 book Budweisers into Czechs and Germans and articles on Bohemian municipal politics and Moravian legal compromises. His work spans political history, nationalism studies, and post-Habsburg state-building.
