Jeremie Beller, Ph.D., serves as Dean of the College of Bible and Chair of the Bible Department at Oklahoma Christian University (OCU), a position he assumed in fall 2022 after 25 years in full-time ministry spanning youth, young adult, radio, college, pulpit, and congregational roles across multiple churches.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Bible with a Greek minor, Master of Arts, and Master of Divinity in Ministry from OCU, culminating in a 2014 Ph.D. in Communication and Social Influence from the University of Oklahoma. His doctoral research focused on homiletics, religion-racism paradoxes, civil religious discourse, and Terror Management Theory.
Dr. Beller's scholarly work critically examines intersections of religious belief and societal tensions, particularly how Terror Management Theory mediates religious orientation's relationship with racist attitudes. His dissertation, 'Terror Management Theory, Religious Orientation and Dissasociation: Addressing the Paradox of Religion and Racism,' forms the cornerstone of this inquiry.
He actively contributes to faith-academic discourse as Opinion Editor for the Christian Chronicle since 2021, board member for Move Youth Conference and Quartz Mountain Christian Camp, and organizer for Affirming the Faith. A prolific speaker, he has presented at over 70 churches across seven states and at Abilene Christian, Harding, and Oklahoma Christian Universities.
