Prof. Jens-Uwe Repke is a full professor and Chair of the Process Dynamics and Operations Group at Technische Universität Berlin. He previously held a W3 professorship at TU Freiberg (2009–2016) before returning to TU Berlin. His research focuses on process dynamics, optimization, and sustainable engineering, with expertise in chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and multiphase systems. Key interests include CO2 capture, rotating packed beds, microemulsion processes, and catalyst design.
His work integrates modeling, simulation, and experimental validation, with applications in industrial processes like oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and dimethyl ether (DME) synthesis. He leads projects such as CemRoCap, addressing CO2 absorption in cement industries using innovative HiGee devices. Repke advises numerous PhD and master’s students, including René Pöschmann and Joshua Orthey, and collaborates with industry partners like thyssenkrupp Uhde and Holcim.
Repke's research outputs span over 150 publications, emphasizing topics like mass transfer in structured packings, pressure drop analysis, and reactor modeling. His group also develops advanced tools for process integration and digitalization, such as the MOSAIC optimization framework and AI-driven process monitoring systems.
