Jens Niklas Eberhardt is an Assistant Professor at the University of Mainz, currently on leave for a research position funded by the DFG grant 'Equivariant K-motives and Koszul Duality.' Previously, he held positions as Substitute Professor at the University of Bonn, postdoc at the University of Wuppertal and Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, and Assistant Adjunct Professor at UCLA. He completed his PhD under Wolfgang Soergel at the University of Freiburg.
Research: Specializes in geometric representation theory and motivic homotopy theory, focusing on algebraic groups, Soergel bimodules, motivic cohomology, K-theory, and categorical structures in representation theory. His work bridges representation theory with topology and algebraic geometry.
Publications: Active in both pure mathematics and quantum information, with recent contributions to K-motives, Springer theory, and quantum error-correcting codes. His research emphasizes categorical and geometric methods, including Koszul duality and motivic sheaf constructions.
Awards: Recipient of the UCLA Mathematics Department's Distinguished Teaching Award (2019).
Grants & Leadership: Principal Investigator in the European Doctoral Network REMOLD (2024-2025), offering PhD positions in geometric representation theory and Langlands duality. Funded by DFG grants exploring equivariant motives and Koszul duality.
Teaching: Extensive experience in teaching advanced mathematics courses including representation theory, linear algebra, and real analysis at UCLA and Bonn. Known for innovative pedagogy and mentorship.
