Jens Friedrich

Prof. Dr. Jens Friedrich serves as Professor of Chemistry and Chemistry Education and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Technology Education at the University of Education Freiburg. His extensive career spans over two decades of dedicated service in chemistry education, with significant contributions to teacher training, curriculum development, and innovative teaching methodologies.

His educational journey began with chemistry and biology studies at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (1989-1993), followed by doctoral research completed in 1997. After serving as a research associate at the Leibniz Institute for Science Education and as a secondary school teacher, he joined the University of Education Freiburg in 2004, where he has held leadership positions including Vice Dean since 2021.
