معرفی
Jens Bojsen-Møller is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark. He is also a former Professor II at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (2009–2020). His research integrates biomechanics, muscle physiology, and rehabilitation science, with a strong focus on human movement and musculoskeletal disorders.
He earned his PhD from the University of Copenhagen in 2005, with a dissertation on the mechanical properties of human tendons. His research interests span biomechanics, tendon and muscle function, locomotion, robot-assisted rehabilitation, and exercise interventions for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
His recent publications highlight work in gait analysis, robot-assisted therapy post-stroke, joint hypermobility, and cross-cultural studies of human performance. Articles published in 2024 and 2025 reflect a strong emphasis on randomized controlled trials, biomechanical modeling, and clinical applications of movement science.
- Jumping performance and muscle–tendon characteristics of Maasai men
- Robot-assisted gait training in stroke rehabilitation
- High-load strength training for knee pain in hypermobility
- Long-term recovery after Achilles tendon rupture
He has received no explicitly mentioned scientific awards in the provided text. However, he is actively involved in research dissemination through media contributions and public engagement.
Jens Bojsen-Møller supervises PhD students, including Jon Skovgaard Jensen, and contributes to teaching in biomechanics and functional anatomy. He is a co-supervisor on the RoboRehab project, a major interdisciplinary effort in neurorehabilitation. His work involves collaborations across Denmark and internationally, with applications in clinical rehabilitation and sports performance.
He leads and participates in research projects focused on motor function recovery, biomechanical assessment, and exercise as medicine. His lab work includes advanced motion analysis, force plate measurements, and ultrasonography, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of human movement and tissue mechanics.
