Jenny Rowett

Jenny Rowett is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in counseling psychology and indigenous methodologies. She serves as a clinical supervisor for student internships and Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidates.

Her research focuses on decolonizing approaches to mental health, including Piluwitahasuwawsuwakon (truth and reconciliation actions), Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing), and indigenous knowledge systems. She examines wholistic well-being through integrative frameworks bridging Western and indigenous therapeutic practices.

Professional activities include leadership roles as National President of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (2019-2021) and membership in the UNB Senate (2019-2022).
